The Helsinki Police Department has launched a pre-trial investigation into alleged irregularities concerning employees’ rights at the construction site of the Kotka CAM plant. According to the police, the investigation is in its early stages, and the authorities have no further comments at this time.
According to the independent assessment published on 25 September 2026, there are shortcomings in the implementation of employees’ rights at the Kotka CAM plant construction site.
As the project company, Easpring Finland New Materials Oy takes very seriously any practices at the construction site that do not meet the standards of Finnish working life. The corrective measures identified in the assessment have already been initiated together with the project’s main contractor.
